Let Go Of Outdated Beliefs

There is a story of a man who began to experience dizziness and to see white spots. He went to his doctor and was told that he only had 6 months to live.

He decided to travel to places that he had always wanted to see. He shared time with his loved ones; he did things he had been putting off for years. He began to experience greater joy in his life.

One day he went into a tailor to have a custom made suit and shirt. The tailor measured his arm length, 33. Then he measured his waist, 32 and his inseam, 34. Next he measured his neck, 16 1/2. The man said, no I have a 15-inch neck. The tailor measured it again and said, no it is 16 ½.

The man argued the point saying I have been wearing shirts with 15-inch necks for years, and I know what size I am.

The tailor then said, ok I will make you a shirt with a 15-inch neck, but you will begin to experience dizziness and will see white spots.

The moral of this story is not to allow ourselves to become so stubborn in our ways, that we become unwilling to shift or recreate ourselves.

What outdated belief are you willing to let go of?
